What is “subrime”?

Very creative way to express how most guys feel that they’re required to have money to talk to a woman. Sounds like it could be in an 8-bar rap on a Drake song about said topic.

Subprime is used to describe risky loans – e.g. the ones that caused the mortgage crisis, and led to our financial meltdown. So “subprime hold” was a way to say that at this time in my life, I’m currently a “risky relationship”. Then, sticking to the “financial” x “love” theme, I went into saying a good “D” which in context, can mean a D-Class bond aka loan, or good “dick” – as in sex isn’t enough for some women either (especially the ambitious ones, which I find myself more attracted to).

This poem is one of my personal ones – in which the character speaking is me; and it explains why at this point in my life, I’m not focusing on women. I find myself not bothering to approach women I find attractive, even though I’m technically not shy, because I don’t think I have anything to offer them; and thus would probably never call.

This is very intellectual of you. It kind of makes me mad that you believe you don\’t have anything to offer because you don\’t have a lot of money. Yes, many girls are money-grabbing whores, but not all are. I respect your decision on staying back, but I think you just need to approach girls in different atmospheres. Like at free events…a smart girl (which you should be looking for) will realize \”oh, well if i\’m at a free event and he\’s at a free event then we both don\’t have money and maybe we can just enjoy each other.\” I hate how money sometimes determines someone\’s worth.

I thought you meant sub-prime but I had to make sure. That is a very on-point analogy.

I think that there are a healthy amount of quality females that are actually attracted to a man’s ambition itself, rather than the money that ambition can result in. Ambition is an attractive trait to because if you’re ambitious, it gives the other person hope for their own dreams, and someone like-minded to go along on the ride with.

With that being said, you have more to offer than most.

And you’re right – Not all girls are the same; and there a some out there that would like/love me for exactly who I am, right now. But at the same time, the other part of my personal problem is, with the lifestyle I’m currently living, I don’t think there’s much room for me to nourish a relationship that way that it should be. Knawmtawmbout?

But yeah, please don’t think I’m being super emo and self hating over here. I just shared some thoughts and feeling that I sometimes have, in poetic HD.
