This poem was inspired by the Subway commercial, where the Kid keeps asking his parents for stuff and they keep telling him no, but subway says yes; and also that famous fat basterd line from Austin Powers.

Fast Food Fools by Jemar Souza
“Have it your way” -
The American way,From McDonald’s -
Similar thoughts,
From The King
And Subway,Chipotle;
But “no, no way”,
Is heard,
From Institutions
That matterWay way way
More
Than the fast fools
Past the fast food doors. It’s no wonder
That AmericansAre fast food whores.
We can’t get what we want,
From the people we need.So we feed feed feed
On what’s bad for our teeth.Rather, bad for our smiles,
As we pout and gain pounds. We’re unhappy,
‘Cause we eat;And we eat,
Cause we frown.
