A few days ago, while perusing the pages of Vimeo, I found this very interesting piece from a NY based Film Maker by the name of Kirby Ferguson. It speaks on the history of remixing, and, using Led Zeppelin as an example, briefly discusses the concepts of Covers and Knock Offs. Check it out.

This video is just the first part of what will be a four part series; and according to Kirby’s site for the project, part two should be complete around the end of this year. He’s also asking for donations to help keep production moving; and they are much appreciated via Paypal. If you got it, give it.

What do you think about the project though?
