If you haven’t been paying attention, I’m not just some blogger, out here blogging music and shit. I’m an aspiring writer – songwriter, poet; and eventually, a novelist and screenwriter. I’ve been writing songs since my freshman year of college; but a little over a year ago, is when I decided to be more serious with it, and finish an actual project, that I can shop to recording artists and record labels; and use to get more people to work with me. Well, I finished all of the recording on my brother’s birthday, July 16th, and got the final artwork yesterday. So here it is…

I kept it simple, (maybe too simple), and chose the name LoveLifeLust, because like a majority of R&B music, love and lust are two things that most of the songs are about. But love and lust are just a part of life; and I have two songs that aren’t really about love or lust,…just..life.
There’s nine songs; and all of their lyrics were written by me (except for the spanish speech in “Fade Away”); but I did get some help with additional harmony and background vocal ideas. The style of the songs range from Pop, Rock, R&B, Dance, Lover’s Rock Reggae, and a little bit of Swing and Blues. So basically, the word alternative should probably be thrown all over this project; and I separated it into three sections, based on the sounds and mood of the music.
Production was done by my friend The Bee, who I’ve been working with since college at Syracuse University; “Billy Bentley” (Chris, that name sucks), who is a family friend that I’ve also been working with since I’ve been in college, (but while at home); the homie Ibe, who I’ve met through Twitter last year, thanks to Mickey Factz; and my dood Melvin Thomas, aka MT the Great, who I’ve also met through Twitter (but not yet in person).
And because I’m not trying to be a singer, as my singing abilities aren’t that great…yet, Jade<3, Ibe, my friend – Adrianna (aka Cocoa Beige), Sunny Jones, my sister – Kim (aka Punkie), a talented Spanish speaking girl who goes by the name of Chyna (thanks Holley!), my friend – Indira, and Tennille, all lent my their amazing voices on some of the songs, while I tried my best to handle the rest.
I’m really proud of this project, because I’ve been working hard trying to get my foot solidly in the door of the music industry; and finally, I have something to show for it. So I really wish I could share the music with all of you, but that would defeat the purpose of a demo that’s songs are meant to be sung by other artists. And I’d probably be fucked if this stuff leaked, and somehow ended up on the radio or something. But hey, I’ll always have it on me; so if you see me around, I’ll let you listen to it. And if you got industry connects, holla at me! ‘Cause I have that good stuff that’s meant for these majors!
