Inspired by my frustrations trying to find a dream job (to compliment living comfortably), while chasing my dreams. Damn, “compliment living comfortably” could be a dope poem or rap line, no?

Plan B by Jemar Souza

In this game called life -
In which we all want to win -

A plan b is
risky

And tends to be
expensive.

There are several examples
I could share for this rule;

But for the sake of
time and rhyme,

I shall only share two.

Take for instance,
The favorite amongst teens,
Who love to

skeet skeet skeet
With no protection on skeen.

Now despite other disasters
that
may soon come after,

You
might find yourself
with a brand new rascal.

Unless, there’s
Plan B -
A.k.a.
The morning after.

But as I said earlier,

plan b is
rather…

Rough
on the wallet.

The second example
is one closer to my heart,

As it deals with decisions
of what’s “right”
and the arts.

Typically,
a person like me,
sees “right”
as plan B -

As in my life,
I’m all about
chasing my dreams.

But the reality is
the inverse must happen,

as there’s college, and job hunts,
and

a whole lot of planning.

So
because time is money,
And school is not cheap,

I insist to the young artists,
Think hard on this

Plan
b.
