Perception
Is often a victim
Of misdirection.

Have you seen the erection –
No pause -

Of a reality
That’s actually
A dream, turned nightmare,
Awoke, once fear
Reached its peak
As air?

See,

There’s this sixth sense,
That none possess,

In which,

One is blessed
With the ability
To clearly see
EVERYTHING
For exactly
What it is.

This

Unusual gift
Is a mental trick,
In which the mind will direct pike,
At those and that which

Tries

To swindle it
Into a pilgrimage
To ignorance.

This gift,
Was once held by three:

The mind,
The body,

And the soul.

But once
The first story was told,

It was since
No more.
