One day, on Twitter, my good friend Tony told a lie; and as a result, on Twitter, I, my friend Bryan, and my friend PJ, retaliated. The following poem is an reinterpretation and imagining of how it could’ve gone down, in a magical land.

Tony, Poetically Slammed in a Wonderland
by Jemar Souza

Tony told me,
There shall be poetry,
And rivers of beer,
Far as our eyes can see.

But Tony told lies;
And once we all knew,
It was down with Tony,
To the ground,
In fumes.

He was capped in all caps!
- A victim of facts -
Led by a mob wearing PJS,
Hooded,
With hats!

Also viciously stung -
By a mass -
Of musical bees,
‘Till alas,
Tony fell
To the ground
On his knees,

Pleading,
And pleading,
Apologies, sweet.

But it wasn’t enough,
‘Till our mob was at peace.
