There’s not much to say in this association, so it’s going to be one of the shorter ones. I mean, I know there was a time when I had a little crush on Melissa. But this association has nothin’ to do with that.
Instead, there was this one night at a little get together somewhere. I can’t remember who’s apartment it was, but I think there was just a few of us hanging out, maybe pre-gaming before we headed elsewhere. Of course, there was some music playing, probably just somebody iPod djing or leaving it on shuffle.
Then, “What We Do” came on…
And out of nowhere, Melissa started going in!
“If a sneak start leanin’ and the heat stop workin’.
Then, my heat start workin’. I’m-a rob me a person.”
I think she basically spit every verse word for word with all types of passion and conviction for no reason. But it’s the lyrics above that I remember her spitting with a mean cute little ice grill and all of that. I was like, whoaaa, and started rhyming the words with her. Yeah man, that’s basically it. Now, every time I hear “What We Do”, I instantly remember that moment spitting the lyrics with Melissa.
Melissa, wheretf are you, son!? I’m pretty sure you live within 50 miles of me, so why aren’t we getting smacked at a bar somewhere and spitting gritty rap lyrics around some white people?! Haha, I miss you homie. Holla at me!
