Wise Words are knowledge and tips from people working in the entertainment industry. But they won’t just give me advice, they’ll also provide some to themselves. These words are from Jade<3. Enjoy and learn something.

Don’t let the industry change you, change the industry.

Usually when you decide you want to pursue anything, you are driven by passion and dreams. Don’t let that be the only thing that supports your journey to success. You will be ill equipped. Eventually you will be challenged and that passion will be put into question. You need to check your motives and do as much right by people as you can possibly do, because I think that speaks more volumes than your talent. Research the meaning and the motive behind your passions and you’ll never forget what you’re fighting for…even when you forget. <3

Also, singing and writing is one thing. Knowing what you're "signing” and how to play the cards the industry has dealt, is somethine totally different. It really has nothing to do with music at all. It’s one of those teach a man to fish sort of sayings…Take your knowledge, put in your pocket and keep it trucking, ’cause you still have more to learn.

I try to remember that I will never be “cruising” in life. There will always be another goal, another problem and another trial. I need to learn how to balance the business, the music and everything else that’s worth doing. I’m currently trying to teach myself time management and being on time. I’m also trying to use my brain cells for something other than putting information in my blackberry and letting it think for me. Enough said, I might upset some people, lol.
