Wise Words are words of advice from people working in the arts and entertainment industry. But they won’t just give me advice, they’ll also provide some to themselves. These words are from Jai. Enjoy and learn something.

Create a major buzz for yourself and your brand.
It’s the best way to get on. You can do this by being at all the major industry events, and having good viral marketing and PR. By doing this, you are proving your worth to the labels/industry. Therefore giving them a reason to sign you, or just be all around excited about your brand. Other than that, you’d have to be related to a major executive, because blood is thicker than water. Or put out more dope songs than both Lil Wayne and Drake combined!
I need to finish building my own team and put my new marketing plan into action. You can’t do anything by yourself because you will never reach your full potential. So I want to build a bigger team, and a bigger conglomerate.
Jai is a music producer and songwriter from Dallas TX. He’s received a Platinum Plaque for producing P. Diddy’s “Come To Me” featuring Nicole Scherzinger, and received a Gold Plaque for producing “Fly Away” on T-Pain’s first album. Jai’s also collaborated with several other artists, including Pimp C, T-Boz (of TLC), and Hurricane Chris.
Currently, Jai is working on tracks for numerous emerging artists while also working with several groups that are signed to his label NextWun Music. On September 15th, he started a new industry networking event called AreYouTheNext1? that kicked off in Dallas, but will soon be in Atlanta too. He’s also hoping to venture off into scoring for television and films, and starting a non-profit organization, that will provide music education, scholarships, and equipment to low income deserving children worldwide.
Bold moves from a brave man who’s only terrified of…..big dogs —- because they have their own minds, their own thoughts, and big teeth, and he believes something is wrong with them. SMH.
Send Twitpics of big dogs to Jai on Twitter, check out his blog website, and also AreYouTheNext1.
