Wise Words are knowledge and tips from people working in the arts and entertainment industry. But they won’t just give me advice, they’ll also provide some to themselves. These words are from the lovely songstress, Shyvonne. Enjoy and learn something.

Know your worth and don’t compromise your soul for temporary happiness.
It’s very important to come into the game, confident in who you are. Open minded, yes, but with standards and morals that will stop you from doing anything to get in. You’re essentially putting your whole being, your diary, out on blast for the world to judge. Not everyone will like you or your craft; and that’s ok, once you accept that, being yourself comes easily. But how will people think you’re great if you don’t believe that of yourself. People will talk, people will doubt, but your confidence in what you have to offer the world, will get you through it all.
Don’t compromise your soul for temporary happiness. There will always be shortcuts, but lasting success is worth the extra work. Don’t give into conformity because in the long run, you won’t truly be satisfied with where you are, because you lost yourself in the process of it all. Don’t give into the hype and forget who you are, where you came from, and the people who helped get you there.
I have learned a lot, but I continually grow and learn everyday. Each show I can point out something different and it’s truly a growing experience. To get to where I need to be I feel I need to just keep grinding and moving forward.
