Wise Words are knowledge and tips from people working in the arts and entertainment industry. But they won’t just give me advice, they’ll also provide some to themselves. These words are from Sonnymoon. Enjoy and learn something.

Never rush into anything if it doesn’t seem right.
Stay hungry and work with that anxious desire to have your music heard, but don’t be afraid to TAKE YOUR TIME and make sure what you’re putting out for people is sincere.
As apprehensive as we feel towards it, we could be more organized and do a little more to tackle the business end of things. Although we’d all love to stay in jamming and writing all day, in these DIY days the creativity is only half the battle. Everything needs to find a balance.
Sonnymoon is the songwriting, producing, and performing duo that consists of Anna Wise and Dane Orr. The band is currently based in Boston, MA; but their roots are in Novato, CA and Schenectady, NY. On Christmas, last year, they released their free debut album, Golden Age and they’ve recently performed at SXSW for the Blindiforthekids showcase. The band is currently building with Dawaun Parker – the Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum musician that co-produced nearly every track on Relapse – who also happens to be their fellow Berklee alum.
The Sonnymoon duo were apparently jazz musicians before they were abducted by aliens. According to Dan, a year or so ago it would’ve been more likely to hear them playing “Round Midnight” than “Houstatlantavegas” or Run Away.
